Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental turned over P686,400.00 worth of calamansi processing equipment and facility to Mindulao Farmers Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (MINFARCCO) in Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental under the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Program.

MINFARCO currently has 124 active members. Forty-five of the members are calamansi farmers who are also main suppliers of calamansi to the cooperative.

The turnover of the Provision of Calamansi Processing Equipment and Facility project is composed of 1 industrial calamansi juicer, 1 stainless industrial mini electric pasteurizer, pneumatic semi-autoliquid filling machine with aircompressor, 1 commercial solid top chest chiller/freezer, 2 two-layer stainless worktables, 2 stainless steel double sinks, 1 digital heavy duty weighing scale, 1 heat gund, 2 stainless holding tanks, 1 round bottle labeling machine, 16 small plastic crates, and 22 big plastic crates.

The SSF project will enable the calamansi farmers to produce high quality processed calamansi products, increase the production volume at lesser operational cost due to the semi-automatic processing equipment, and increase their income.

SSF is a flagship project of DTI that aims at improving MSME productivity and efficiency through better access to technology. ♦
