On 27 May 2022, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)Region 12, in partnership with Cacao Industry Development Association of Mindanao, Inc. (CIDAMi), the Department of Agriculture, and SM Supermalls, launched the Cacao Mindanao Chocolate Fair, a three-day activity which showcased a variety of cacao-based products from local businesses such as Kablon Farm Foods, Remy Food Products, Sebul Farm, Diomrie Farm, Don Ricardo’s, Green Nurture Corp., Rodrigo’s Milk Chocolate, Eleanor Tsokolate, Household Multipurpose Cooperative, Candidier Processed Products, South Rays Valley Foods Association, Inc., Ricarda Food Products, AiAi’s Food Products, Estan Food Products, and Sira’s Food Products.

The activity was graced by DTI Regional Operations Group (ROG) Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga and Regional Director Jude Constantine S. Jaugan where they viewed and tasted a variety of cacao-based products from the four provinces (Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato) and the City General Santos.

RD Jude also expressed his gratitude to SM Supermalls for helping organize this activity in support of the region’s cacao industry. ♦
