DTI Region 12 holds Diskwento Caravan during the celebration of the 2023 Labor Day in Kidapawan City, providing affordable quality products and free business consultations for entrepreneurs.

KIDAPAWAN CITY, COTABATO –The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 12 participated in the 121st celebration of the Labor Day with the mounting of the Diswento Caravan in Kidapawan City on Monday.

The Diswento Caravan featured four partner business establishments which offered basic necessity and prime commodity (BNPC) products with 10 to 50 percent price discount, bundle promo products and freebies to the general public.

The participating establishments: 3F Friendly Shoppers Corp., Kidapawan Mega Center Corp., Survive Marketing and Kasapid Warehouse Sales sold products at discounted prices targeting the low income earners.

Flora Politud-Gabunales, the local trade chief of DTI 12, said that the caravan is part of agency’s commitment to provide consumers with access to quality and affordable products together with the other programs and services that support promotion of the welfare and development of workers.

“As part of our mandate to enable businesses and empower consumers, we remain committed to providing programs and services that support the promotion of the welfare and development of the workers, while we collaborate with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other government agencies.” Said Politud-Gabunales.

The Diskwento Caravan is a public service initiative of DTI in partnership with big manufacturers and distributors which aims to provide reasonably-priced quality products to consumers.

Aside from holding a caravan, DTI offered free one-on-one business consultation to would-be and existing entrepreneurs with standby Negosyo Center business counselors and loan coordinator from Small Business Corporation. DTI 12 also partnered with the cooperator of OTOP Hub.ph in the city for the selling of products made by the agency’s assisted micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program. ♦
