PPG beneficiary receives livelihood starter kit

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO – The Department of Trade and Industry Region 12 (DTI-12) through its Cotabato Provincial Office has awarded two (2) livelihood starter kits to fire victims of M’lang, Cotabato under the “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa” (PPG) program.  

The PPG beneficiaries who are residents of Brgy. La Fortuna and Brgy. Poblacion received a livelihood starter kit amounting to P8,000 in a form of chicken livestock or barbecue package, was personally handed by the DTI Cotabato Province OIC Provincial Director Ferdinand Cabiles and witnessed by the team of Sen. Bong Go, and other line agencies in a turnover program last Sept 24.  

Under the PPG Program, DTI extends livelihood assistance to the victims of fire, typhoons, and other calamities nation-wide.  

Aside from the livelihood starter kits, the beneficiaries will undergo series of entrepreneurial seminars through the Negosyo Center as a follow-up assistance to aid them in sustaining their business.  

Mary Jane Saransate, one of the beneficiaries said with a teary eyes, “Daghan jud kaayong salamat. Dako kaayo ni nga bulig pambawi para sa nasunog namo nga balay kag mga manok.”
