Negosyo Center Esperanza with the support of BLGU and Sangguniang Kabataan of Pamantingan conducted Skills Enhancement on Handicrafts Production to the members of the IP for Youth Association-Pamantingan held at the Brgy. Gymnasium of Pamantingan, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat last May 19-20, 2022.
This activity re-emphasizes DTI 12 Regional Director (RD) Jude Constatine S. Jaugan’s recurring message to encourage the local communities, most especially the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Youth, to continue learning and in the process, create businesses that will not only enable them to learn new skills but also help the local economy.
The members of the association participated in the 2-day activity which enabled them to produce fruit trays and baskets made of rattan. The training was facilitated by Mr. Alvin Andilon, resource speaker from Mafiun Kesaunutay Cooperative, along with Chieftain Willy Tumbao.
The IP for Youth Association of Pamantingan is also the NSB Beneficiary of the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Livelihood Seeding Program of 2021. A total of 20 participants attended the activity.
