Hats off, dear mentee-graduates!

The Department of Trade and Industry Region 2, in collaboration with PCE-Go Negosyo, led the celebration of the success of Batch 7 of the Kapatid Mentor Me- Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Program with 50 mentees, the majority from the tourism and hospitality sectors, through their virtual graduation held on May 16, 2023.

Launched on March 7, the select mentees completed the rigorous series of coaching and mentoring consultations under the program’s 10-module program and were able to present and pass their respective business improvement plans to a group of evaluators coming from government and private institutions.

In his elated remarks, DTI R2 Assistant Regional Director Winston T. Singun, representing Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, applauded the unyielding spirit and dedication of the graduating batch and urged them to apply their learning and skills to continually grow and improve their business operations.

“Always put your plans and commitments into your heart and make them happen. The DTI and PCE Go Negosyo will always be here to support you and help you achieve your goals,” said ARD Singun.

Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion emphasized the importance of the 3Ms in business: mentorship, money, and market, and committed to providing this access to the mentees. He also reminded them to always think positively, constantly learn from others, learn from mistakes, and be able to continue and move forward.

Moreover, DTI ROG-Usec. Blesila Lantayona encouraged the mentees to utilize the learning and strengthen the bond with their fellow mentees and coaches to strive further in improving their businesses, as they will later become mentors themselves, helping the smaller enterprises.

A highlight of the event was the virtual presentation of the e-certificates of the mentees who successfully achieved the requirements prescribed by Go Negosyo and DTI R2. The top mentees also shared their experiences and learnings during the modules and acknowledged the support of their mentors, who assisted them all through the sessions.

On the other hand, DTI-Batanes Provincial Director Ellerie Ramel applauded the mentees, as they are officially part of the strong and elite group of KMME graduates all over the country, and expressed the constant support and commitment of the agency and the mentors in assisting them even after they graduate from the program.

Meanwhile, DTI R2 has produced a total of 1020 KMME graduates since its launch in 2017. The 8th batch of the KMME-MME Online Program will commence on June 6 this year.
