Touched-up nails, freshly cut and blown-out hair, and refreshed anti-VAWC law awareness were the amazing things received by 57 DTI Region 2 women in their Girls Amazing Day (GAD), 9 March 2023.
“Hindi ka babae lang, babae kang may dignidad,” DTI R2-SMEDD Assistant Division Chief Atty. Michael Paggabao said after delivering Assistant Regional Director Winston T. Singun’s opening remarks.
Trade and Industry Analyst Angie U. Gumaru thoroughly and intelligently delivered the discussion and facts of Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) of 2004.
Thereafter, said women were rewarded with free beauty sessions such as haircuts, manicures, and pedicures, provided by MediSpa.
This pink-and-purple-filled activity, in line with the National Women’s Month Celebration this March 2023, was initiated by the DTI R2-Administrative and Finance Management Division.
DTI R2 is a female-led and female-dominated institution that upholds the vital roles and contributions of its female workers. *
