TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry Region 2, spearheaded a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) cum Action Planning Workshop for the Consumer and Private Organizations in Region 2 on February 28, 2023, at the DTI Negosyo Center Conference Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The planning workshop aims to assist the 26 DTI R2 Partner Organizations in crafting their action plans in relation to consumer advocacy and protection for the year 2023.
The FGD touched upon several important matters concerning the DTI and private-sector partnership:
- Notable accomplishments of consumer and private organizations in Region 2 were presented to inspire the group on how far they have come.
- The 5-year strategic direction of the group, crafted in 2022, was revisited and reviewed.
- DTI’s programs, projects, and activities for consumers and private organizations for the year 2023 were presented to the group, highlighting the incentivization program of DTI.
- Issues and concerns were identified as the basis for crafting their 2023 action plans.
DTI acknowledges the invaluable importance and vital roles of its partner organizations in providing consumer education and advocacy initiatives in their respective areas. Thus, the department assured its interminable support to continuously deliver programs and services for their development and to their cause in protecting and promoting the interests of consumers. *
