Thirteen MSMEs and over 100 farmers from the Province of Quirino benefitted from the DTI – Bureau of Domestic and Trade Promotion’s (BDTP) Midyear Grand Bagsakan held at Megatrade Halls 1-2, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City on 29 June – 3 July 2022.

Baguio Village Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BAVIMCO) represented by its Chairman, Ms. Brenda Diola served as the exhibitor, at the same time consolidator of the products of other participating enterprises, with support from the Provincial Government of Quirino.

In her statement, Ms. Kristal Anne L. Pera, DTI R2 Quirino Provincial CARP Coordinator and Bagsakan facilitator, confirmed that the total volume of fresh agricultural produce sold was around 1.13 tonnes.

Meanwhile, Ms. Crissa E. Arios, Junior Business Counselor and a Bagsakan facilitator, said that the activity led to the discovery of some four potential institutional buyers specifically for agricultural products such as ube and fresh fruits and vegetables.

The other MSMEs who participated in the Bagsakan were: Maddela Integrated Farmers Savings & Development Cooperative (MIFSADECO), Quirino Livelihood for Everyone (Q-LiFe), Mataga-ay Coffee Growers Producers Cooperative, Diffun Saranay Development Cooperative (DISADECO), Federico’s Enterprises, Quirino Young Entrepreneurs Association (QYEA), Villa Pascua Multi-Purpose Cooperative (VIPAMCO), D&D Cacao Products Manufacturing, Tres Reyes Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative, KSPA Food Products Manufacturing, Dumanisi Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative, ad MIF Processing Plant.

Midyear Grand Bagsakan is a program of DTI-BDTP that serves as a platform where MSMEs and their products with high potential can be discovered in the market. ♦
