ALA E! Accessible Learning Academy for Entrepreneurs

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Batangas, through the Business Counsellors of the 32 established Negosyo Centers, launched the newest program title for the webinars and online coaching services provided for the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of Batangas Province. The new program is entitled “ALA E!” which is coined from the local expressions of Batanguenos; the name is an abbreviation for Accessible Learning Academy for Entrepreneurs; the acronym is derived from the former DTI program: Small Medium Enterprise Roving Academy (SMERA). The branding of the program aims to establish a unique and appealing label, and to reach a wider public awareness and recognition of the agency in the province.

The new title was first introduced to the public last 11 April 2022, during the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) beneficiary webinar entitled “ALA E! Asenso pag Determinado: Kaalaman at Kwarta” a two-part webinar program about entrepreneurial mind setting and financial management, a total of 106 participants from various municipalities of Batangas province attended the said webinar via Zoom Meeting. At present, a total of nine (9) ALA E! webinars have already been conducted with over 600 participants provincewide.

The ALA E! Also had a sub-variation title utilized for the coaching services, ALA E! Gabay sa Negosyo. The title for the coaching uses Tagalog for easier comprehension of the content of the coaching program. The ALA E! Gabay sa Negosyo has already conducted 40 sessions and scheduled for 50 more sessions throughout the whole year in the whole province of Batangas. The coaching program is expected to provide services to roughly 200 MSMEs from the 32 established Negosyo Centers in Batangas.
