Tayabas CPCC Price Monitoring Task Force conducted Post-Noche Buena Price Monitoring across selected stores in Tayabas City. The objective is to monitor the noche buena items’ prices after the holiday as agreed during the LPCC Year-End Convening Session last 20 December 2021.

Present during the price monitoring are the following members of the permanent and alternative members of the Price Monitoring Task Force, namely: the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Negosyo Center Tayabas City, Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Office of the City Agriculturist (OCA), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and the Office of the City Public Market Administrator (OCPMA).

The data collected during the price monitoring activity was analyzed, and the report findings show that processed noche buena items under the jurisdiction of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) other prices of the goods move slightly but remain within the range of the suggested retail price (SRP), while other goods don’t change.

These report findings will be reported to the City Mayor as the Chair of CPCC, who will be subjected to review and recommendations on the measures needed to ensure that prices of noche buena items will remain stable until the end of the year. ♦
