The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office through its Negosyo Center Los Baños held an Entrepreneurship Seminar for 50 beneficiaries of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program in Barangay Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna on 23 May 2022.

Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist Christian Ted O. Tungohan welcomed the participants, which included PPG beneficiaries and LGU representatives. Following that, Negosyo Center Business Counselor Lovely Anne A. Rome discussed the DTI programs and services to give an overview of the existing activities of the department for entrepreneurs.

Then, Ms. Jean Resurrecion, Negosyo Center Business Counselor, talked about how to start a business, including Business Name (BN) and Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) registration. In addition, Negosyo Center Business Counselor Joemarie Valizado presented the business entrepreneurship through the PPG Program. Consumer rights and responsibilities were then explained by DTI Division Chief Cesar L. Gerpacio, who emphasized that well-informed consumers are the most protected.

Before the activity ended, participants completed a workshop on Simplified Action Plan preparation.♦
