To maximize the potential of barangays to become economically independent and make them more effective partners in the attainment of the national goals and increase the awareness of barangay officials about the services offered by the Department through the Negosyo Center, the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) thru the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay – Livelihood Seeding Program (NSB-LSP) conducted the awarding of livelihood kits. This activity was attended by 38 beneficiaries from seven (7) barangays in Liliw, Laguna namely: Pag-asa, Rizal, Bagong Anyo, Kanlurang Bukal, Ilayang Taykin, Mojon and Calumpang.

The program started with an opening prayer and acknowledgment of guests and participants. Hon. Ericson J. Sulibit, Municipal Mayor of Liliw, Laguna delivered his congratulatory message to the beneficiaries. He also acknowledged the efforts of DTI Laguna in every program and project that they are doing for the people of Liliw, Laguna. Arnel Magpily, STIDS of DTI Laguna gave an inspirational message. He also encouraged the beneficiaries to make their business grow and assured them that DTI will always be here to help them.

Then, the signing of the Pledge of Commitment takes place which was led by Maureen Leyros, LSP-NSB Coordinator of DTI Laguna.

The program was ended by Ms. Marcelina Alcantara with her closing remarks and she hopes that the beneficiaries will maximize the opportunity that DTI has given them.♦
