As part of the continuous efforts of the government in providing business development assistance and encouraging the growth of MSMEs, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is conducting Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) to different cities/municipalities in the province of Laguna.

The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI through the Negosyo Centers (NCs) that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing programs, activities, and services closer to the people through its partnerships with relevant local government units.

The DTI Laguna Provincial Office through the NC Pangil conducted the ceremonial awarding of LSP-NSB gift certificates on 16 March 2022 Wednesday at the Municipal Azotea in Pangil, Laguna. This activity was attended and participated by DTI staff, LGU Pangil officials and staff, and the 40 beneficiaries from four (4) identified barangays in Pangil, Laguna, namely Natividad, Sulib, San Jose, and Galalan.

The program started with the preliminaries and opening prayer led by Negosyo Center (NC) Pangil Business Counselor (BC) Danica R. Briones. Pangil Municipal Mayor Gerald A. Aritao delivered his welcome message to the participants and staff. He expressed his continued support to DTI programs and congratulated the beneficiaries in receiving their certificates and also wished them continued success in their businesses.

It was followed by an inspirational message delivered by the Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI Laguna, Arnel M. Magpily, as he stated how the livelihood program helped MSMEs grow and sustained their businesses and he also encouraged the MSMEs to be resilient during these trying times. STIDS Magpily also expressed DTI Laguna’s constant support to every MSMEs.

To proceed, the beneficiaries took and signed their Pledge of Commitment to the program. It was immediately followed by the awarding proper. A total of 40 gift certificates were awarded to the beneficiaries.

The awarding of the LSP-NSB gift certificates to all identified beneficiaries was successfully conducted. Likewise, all the beneficiaries and the local officials were very grateful for being chosen as recipient of this livelihood program. ♦
