The Department of Trade and Industry Quezon through Negosyo Center Dolores began distributing livelihood negosyo kits under the Livelihood Seeding Program — Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) program in Puregold Tiaong on Tuesday, 7 December 2021.
Ten (10) beneficiaries from Barangay Bulakin II and Barangay Santa Lucia, Dolores, Quezon were given an opportunity to purchase and receive various livelihood kits amounting to P7,000, depending on their business needs. The livelihood kits distributed include goods for the sari-sari store, and food processing and retailing. The beneficiaries were all grateful to the program and the people who worked behind the scenes to make it a success. Present for the activity is the Business Counselors from Dolores, Mauban, and San Antonio, and a representative from DTI Quezon Provincial Office to assist the beneficiaries with their shopping haul. Following the activity, the beneficiaries paid a courtesy call to Mayor Orlan A. Calayag and the rest of LGU Dolores to express their appreciation for DTI’s commitment and support for all of its programs.
The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through its partnerships with relevant local government units. The program is intended to provide priority support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by natural and human-induced calamities and those severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the livelihood assistance, DTI and its program partners hope that the selected beneficiaries will have the diligence and perseverance to improve their livelihoods towards recovery and growth amidst the challenges that the economy is facing. ♦
