INFANTA, QUEZON — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Quezon through Negosyo Center–General Nakar and in partnership with the Local Government Unit of General Nakar led by Mayor Eliseo R. Ruzol Sr. and the 1st Infantry Batallion headed by Lieutenant Colonel Danilo V. Escandor, provided livelihood assistance to fifteen (15) former rebels (FR) on February 08, 2023, at Barangay Tongohin, Infanta, Quezon.
The DTI awarded business kits to the former rebels as part of its Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program to capacitate and enable the former rebels to venture into entrepreneurship. The activity is also part of the government’s National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) initiative under the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC). The former rebels were very thankful for the business kits. ♦
