CALAUAG, QUEZON — To hold fast to the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) responsibility for realizing the country’s goal of a globally competitive and innovative industry and services sector that contributes to inclusive growth and employment generation, the Quezon Provincial Office, through the Negosyo Center Calauag, participated in the Calauag Livelihood Expo 2023 last February 13, 2023, in Calauag, Quezon.

The Local Government Unit and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development of Calauag hosted a livelihood expo that highlighted the rich agricultural resources of the municipality. The event showcased an array of coconut products, bamboo products, pasalubong, and other agricultural goods, all crafted by skilled local artisans and food processors. Visitors had the opportunity to sample and purchase these unique products while also gaining a deeper appreciation for the municipality’s rich cultural heritage.

The expo was made even more special by the participation of Puregold Calauag and the DTI, wherein the DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa, CESO V, Business Development Division Chief Anna Marie V. Quincina, and Negosyo Center Business Counselor Ma. Isabel C. Hirang personally attended the event and provided valuable support and guidance to the local entrepreneurs.

During the event, officials from various agencies and offices had the opportunity to evaluate the products on display. They provided critiques on several aspects of the items, including their packaging, taste, and overall quality. This feedback was invaluable for the local entrepreneurs, as it gave them an objective perspective on their products and provided insights into areas that could be improved. The critiques also highlighted the officials’ commitment to supporting local businesses and encouraging economic development in the municipality.
