Basic Good Manufacturing Practices for Processed Fruits and Nuts Processors

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist – Quezon, conducted a seminar on basic good manufacturing practices for processed fruits and nuts processors at the DTI Quezon Provincial Office. It was attended by MSMEs/processors from the municipalities of Lucena, Atimonan, Sariaya, Unisan, and Candelaria.

The seminar started at 9:30 in the morning with an invocation. It was followed by the roll call of participants headed by DTI staff Honeylee O. Eclavea and the welcome remarks of the DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa. Afterward, Honeylee O. Eclavea introduced Ms. Rhodora A. Ulan as the resource speaker for the seminar.

This seminar was conducted to equip the potential and existing processors in the organization with the knowledge and innovative strategies on how to sustain processed fruits and nuts through current good manufacturing practices as well as provide them with new ideas in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Meanwhile, CTIDS Anna Marie V. Quincina gave the closing remarks. ♦
