The Department of Trade and Industry Quezon Provincial Office through Negosyo Center Lucena City conducted the launching of the 2022 regular run of the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) in Barangay Ibabang Iyam, Lucena City.
In partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Ibabang Iyam headed by Hon. Gina Tenorio Sares, the program was successfully launched and it was attended by 148 participants, including barangay officials and existing and potential entrepreneurs of the said barangay.
LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to people through partnerships between relevant local government units (LGUs) and DTI. It aims to increase the awareness of barangay officials and citizens about the programs and services offered by the DTI through the Negosyo Centers. Also, there are three (3) selected MSMEs who will receive a business kit from the agency to help them restore their businesses.
Moreover, Negosyo Center Lucena City Business Counselor Rolynda N. Quimora discussed the different programs and services offered by the Department of Trade and Industry, while OIC Division Chief of Consumer Protection Division Lani O. Constantino talked about Consumer Rights and Responsibilities. With the assistance of LSP-NSB Support Staff Carl Kenneth A. Balauag, each participant received information materials about the program and a hygiene kit composed of facemasks and alcohol.♦
