The turn over ceremony was conducted to award the newly renovated mushroom processing center to Niogan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi Purpose Cooperative at Niogan, Pililla, Rizal last 16 February 2022, with the Rizal Convergence Team, which consist of the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Local Government of Pililla. Present during the Ceremony were DAR Rizal OIC-PARPO Raul Leonin, DOST Provincial Director Fernando Ablaza and DTI Business Development Division Chief Sharon Dioco together with officers and members of the Niogan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

NARB MPC is a community-based cooperative located at T. Daria Street Niogan, Pililla, Rizal. The cooperative is into a Mushroom Culture and Processing which was established through the collaborative effort of different government agencies such as the DTI, DAR, DOST, DOLE, and LGU of Pililla. Ms Badette Aguirre, NARB MPC Chairperson, is grateful for the convergence of services and interventions given to them by these agencies.

To expand their market and improve their products, the DTI, together with the partner government agencies, continuously support the organization thru provision of different interventions such as capacity building, consultations, and assistance in renovating and improving the production area. The newly renovated processing center also house the recently transferred equipment and machines under the Shared Service Facility Program. Moreover, the cooperative is being assisted by DTI Rizal in preparing the necessary documents to acquire their Food and Drug Administration – License to Operate Certification.

This ceremony formalized the turn-over of the newly renovated mushroom processing center to NARB MPC. Also, it strengthens the convergence of Rizal government agencies to give more support to the cooperative. With this, the cooperative’s members are motivated to do more in improving their production capacity to deliver good quality products and cater to the high demand of customers in the market. ♦
