The Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (DTI-PPG) program of the Department of Trade and Industry is a post-disaster response mechanism of the government for micro-enterprises whose businesses are affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health pandemics. With that, the DTI-Rizal Provincial Office conducted its 2nd batch of awards on August 18 and 19, 2022, in its main office in Antipolo and at Taytay Public Market. The beneficiaries are all existing micro-enterprise entrepreneurs and cooperatives with businesses selling Pasalubong items (chips, biscuits, bread), school uniforms, baby needs products, and auto supplies. The awarded items are all aligned with their business.
During the livelihood kit Distribution Ceremony, BDD Chief Sharon F. Dioco welcomed the beneficiaries while STIDS Marlene De Luna discussed the flow of requesting and purchasing items with regards to government procurement.
The event was graced by DTI-Rizal OIC Provincial Director Cleotilde M. Duran, who encouraged the beneficiaries to grow their businesses. In her inspirational message, PD Duran challenged the beneficiaries to sustain their businesses through the livelihood assistance provided to them.
Also present during the program were TIDS Jonalyn Adaya, Ms. Jocelyn Ferrer, and Mr. Michael Avisado, PPG Support Staff. ♦
