Negosyo Center Pililla Business Counselor, Mr. Bernardo A. Maroto Jr., attended the program on behalf of DTI Rizal. During the conversation, Mr. Maroto briefly explained that installing CCTV in every establishment is not one of the requirements for obtaining a DTI Business Name Certificate. He also clarified that a business name certificate is not a permit to operate a business. He stressed that every business should secure a Mayor’s Permit at the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) in the LGU for its operation.

“It should be the LGU who is in the jurisdiction of the area to provide the necessary guidelines for the CCTV installation in the business establishments,” said Mr. Maroto.

Also present at the venue were the barangay captains and their representatives. They expressed their support and gave their suggestions concerning CCTV installation. ♦
