SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, SSF Support Staff Dara Jannes C. Obmerga, and DTI Negosyo Center Alabat Business Counselor Victoria T. Gonzales, together with Samahan ng Kababaihan ng Alabat Para sa Pangkabuhayan (SANGKAP), Inc.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) SSF Quezon, headed by SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, SSF Support Staff Dara Jannes C. Obmerga, and DTI Negosyo Center Alabat Business Counselor Victoria T. Gonzales, conducted a physical monitoring on SSF for Cassava Processing together with its cooperator, Samahan ng Kababaihan ng Alabat Para sa Pangkabuhayan (SANGKAP), Inc., in Alabat, Quezon.

They visited the SSF processing building with SANGKAP representative Virginia P. Castro and LGU Alabat Food Technologist Austin O. Caralian. The DTI-SSF Quezon inspected their building and the SSF machines and equipment. The building and the machines are properly maintained and utilized. Property tags are also in good condition. Ms. Castro shared that they have also been using the drying facility provided by the LGU Alabat.

In addition, they said that since the start of the pandemic, they have been using bicycles to deliver their cassava crackers to their customers as one of their greening practices.

Aside from the SSF machines and equipment, SANGKAP, Inc., cassava crackers received other assistance from DTI, including their product label, and have also participated in different regional and provincial trade fairs and are now widely known in Quezon Province and displayed at the Provincial OTOP Philippines Hub in Lucena City.♦
