On 12 May 2022, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Quezon presented the SSF Project for Multi-Commodity Processing Center in Candelaria, Quezon to the Regional Technical Working Group for approval via Zoom in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) – Provincial Government of Quezon and the Local Government Unit of Candelaria, Quezon.
DTI Region 4A-CALABARZON led by OIC-Regional Director Marissa C. Argente and Assistant RTWG Chairperson Leila M. Cabreros conducted the virtual meeting together with DTI Quezon Provincial Office led by Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa to discuss the said SSF project.
The Regional Technical Working Group consists of OIC-Regional Director Marissa C. Argente, Assistant RTWG Chairperson Leila M. Cabreros, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Division (SMEDD) Chief, Ms. Marina Manalo, Trade and Industry Development Specialist (TIDS), Mr. Leif Byron S. Samiano, SMEDD Support Staff, Mr. Ken Joshua Pitero and Mr. Victor Marasigan of KLT Foods, Inc.
Also, the DTI Quezon SSF Team assisted in the said meeting, which consisted of Provincial Director Tadiosa, Ms. Anna Marie V. Quincina, Division Chief of Business Development Division (BDD), Ms. Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, STIDS/SSF Provincial Coordinator, and Ms. Dara Jannes C. Obmerga, SSF Support Staff.
Mr. Russel M. Manuba, OPA Quezon Planning Officer, presented their audio-visual presentation and business plan and answered the questions of the RTWG together with Eleanor D. Zabella, Unit Head of Product Development of OPA.
After the presentation of the project, the RTWG members and DTI Quezon had an evaluation inside the breakout room. After deciding on the project, they requested OPA and LGU Candelaria to submit other supporting information in the business plan. The SSF project for the Multi-Commodity Processing Center is expected to launch before 2022 ends.♦
