TANGKAWAYAN, QUEZON — On April 12, 2023, The Department of Trade and Industry – Quezon Provincial Director, PD Julieta L. Tadiosa, attended the ground-breaking ceremony for White Copra Processing Central under CFIDP-Shared Processing Facilities at Tagkawayan Municipal Covered Court, LGU Tagkawayan, Quezon.

It was the very first time the White Copra Processing Facility had ever been launched in the country. The funding for the project was derived from a project known before as the Coco Levy Fund under the Department of Agriculture and other attached agencies. Sama-Sama sa Kaunlaran Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Barangay Sta. Monica, Tagkawayan, Quezon, was very fortunate to be the first recipient of the aforementioned project. The above-mentioned event was also attended by Hon. Angelina D. Tan, Quezon Provincial Governor; Hon. Luis Oscar T. Eleazar, Municipal Mayor of Tagkawayan; Vice Mayor Danilo L. Liwanag; Sangguniang Bayan Members; Mr. Lawrence Joseph Velasco, CFIDP Quezon Focal Person; seventeen (17) different national agencies; LGU department heads; and other Sangguniang Barangay Officials. ♦
