SANTA ROSA, LAGUNA – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office, in partnership with the City Government of Santa Rosa, in its effort to ensure compliance to the minimum health and safety protocols, conducted monitoring activities in four malls in Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 28 April 2021. This is to further help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
The said activity is spearheaded by DTI-Laguna Provincial Director Clarke S. Nebrao, in coordination with Honorable Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas, and Negosyo Center Manager and City Cooperative Development Officer Mark Paulo Velasco. Three teams were dispatched to four different malls to conduct random inspection of business establishments’ compliance to the DTI and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Joint Memorandum Circular 20-04A or DTI-DOLE Supplemental Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19.
Business establishments that were found to have some lapses with their protocols were advised to comply and encouraged to help the government in realizing its objective to help protect both their consumers and employees.
Furthermore, the teams urged the management of the malls to enjoin with DTI in ensuring compliance of their respective tenants to the said circular by conducting regular inspection and issuance of memorandum or advisory.
DTI-Laguna will continue to intensify its monitoring efforts all throughout the province.♦
