Online Briefing and  Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the  Approved GIA-CBP Project of SQMSO

On 29 November 2021, Negosyo Center Calauag assisted the San Quintin Multi-Sectoral Organization (SQMSO) during DOST-Quezon’s Online Briefing and Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the Approved GIA-CBP Project of SQMSO via Zoom.

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the officers of SQMSO, represented by Alexander V. Porfura, President, and Florentino G. Jimenez, Treasurer. During the signing were Maria Esperanza E. Jawili, Provincial S&T Director of DOST-Quezon, signed the MOA on behalf of DOST CALABARZON and was assisted by Jan Kimwell G. Alpay, PA-II and Project Focal Person. Also present to assist in the activity was DTI Negosyo Center – Calauag Business Counselor, Ma. Isabel C. Hirang.

The project aims to enhance the bamboo processing technologies for SQMSO and help develop a sustainable livelihood and economic enterprise that will benefit the organization. DOST GIA-CBP aims to empower community-based organizations to sustain and improve their productive undertakings by providing science and technology interventions and capacity-building activities. DTI-Quezon and DOST-Quezon will have a collaborative work plan for SQMSO, tapping the organization’s needs as to technical, such as technological methods and marketing aspects, to ensure the program’s success. ♦
