The Department of Trade and Industry-Rizal (DTI-Rizal) through the Negosyo Center (NC) Tanay and Negosyo Center Sampaloc-Tanay facilitated the livelihood virtual seminar hosted by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Brgy. Mag-Ampon, held on 12 April 2021, via Google Meet and streamed via Facebook Live.

Intending to shape and promote entrepreneurial mindset among the participants, Tanay Livelihood Development Center Coordinator Mr. Bien Magpantay, together with Business Counsellors Karla Reynes, and Aryan F. Llamasares shared valuable information and insights on the topics of entrepreneurship, business, and livelihood.

Business Counsellor Reynes discussed the 7Ms Way of Uplifting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). She also reiterated to the participants that DTI has several programs and interventions such as the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) that aims to equip young entrepreneurs to make a difference in the market. Ms. Reynes encouraged young leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue their passion, especially if they have skills that they can use to start their own business. “Laging bukas ang Negosyo Center Tanay at Negosyo Center Sampaloc para sa consultation if you are planning to start a business. We will guide you,” she said.

Moreover, Business Counsellor Llamasares discussed the topic of starting a business, the advantages and disadvantages of doing a business, and the procedure of securing a business name and business permit from the Local Government.

This webinar was actively participated by 45 active youth members from the Barangay. Participants who attended this activity will receive information materials and kits from DTI-Rizal and hand soap made by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Tanay.♦
