The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna, with the assistance of Negosyo Center Luisiana, conducts validation process on potential beneficiaries of Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program last 4 February 2022.

These potential beneficiaries were identified by the Local Government Unit (LGU) cascaded through the respective Barangays as discussed initially through a meeting last 21 January 2022.

The objective of the program is to provide eligible entrepreneurs affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters, restart their economic activities. It also aims to provide livelihood opportunities to those identified beneficiaries in areas considered as priorities of the national Government such as Killed-in-Action, Wounded-in-Action (KIA-WIA), National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and those under the Balik Probinsya Program.

Other services offered on DTI – PPG are enterprise Development Training, Business Counselling and Mentoring, Consumer Education and Advocacy and Provision of Livelihood Kits.

There were 13 barangays covered they are clustered into four groups, wherein 29 potential beneficiaries were interviewed face-to-face and one evaluated online, regarding the status of their livelihood/economic activities. ♦
