Pakil, Laguna – The Negosyo Center Pakil conducted its third SME Roving Academy (SMERA) entitled “Seminar on Costing and Pricing” last November 26, 2019 at the Turumba Spring Resort, Pakil, Laguna. The resource person for the event was Dr. Caesar Apolinar P. Ramirez Jr., a mentor for finance for the Go Negosyo program. A total of 32 registered and 34 potential Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actively participated in the recently-concluded learning event.

The opening of the seminar was graced by Hon. Mayor Vincent L. Soriano of the Local Government Unit of Pakil. He also delivered an inspirational message to the participants. Over the course of the program, attendees from Pakil and its nearby municipalities were taught about the significance of cost management and proper price setting. A workshop on break-even point method, price mixing and price adjusting strategies followed through. Further, the seminar provided the participants with knowledge on various costing and pricing methods based on real business scenarios.

The activity was wrapped up with a discussion on Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) and Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso (P3) program. Participants were also encouraged to participate in the future training sessions of the Negosyo Center under the SMERA program. This activity is line with Republic Act No. 10644 stating one of the functions of the Negosyo Centers as providers of capability building programs for existing and potential entrepreneurs.
