LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA – The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna (DTI-Laguna) Provincial Office with Negosyo Center Los Baños successfully concluded a webinar on business cybersecurity last 22 October 2020.

In line with the objectives of the agency, the activity sought to help promote business cybersecurity awareness in the province of Laguna especially with the current trends on the use of technology in purchasing/marketing, as well as to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in order to adopt in practical ways to secure the business.

The webinar was divided into three parts, namely, discussion, practical application, and open forum. DTI-Laguna’s Kapatid Mentor ME graduate and an IT Consultant, Mr. Joel R. Galit, served as the resource speaker for the said webinar held through Zoom.

A total of 29 participants were seen via Zoom and 537 Facebook users were reached via Facebook Live Streaming on the same day. The webinar is part of the SME Roving Academy (SMERA), a continuous learning program led by the DTI for the development of MSMEs to become competitive in the domestic and international markets. ♦
