The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal Provincial Office through its program Shared Service Facility (SSF) awarded the certificate of ownership of the Ginger Processing Facility to Sampaloc Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SARBMPC) during the Turn-Over Ceremony held, 28 January 2021.
DTI-Rizal Provincial Director Mercedes A. Parreño lead the turnover ceremony of P520,000.00 worth of Shared Service Facilities to the cooperator SARBMPC which is known to be operational for 22 years – one of the strong partner-cooperatives of DTI in Rizal.
DTI Regional Director Marilou Q. Toledo was also present during the ceremony. In her inspirational message, RD Toledo emphasized how excellent the cooperative has been working despite the challenges of the current situation the country is facing due to the pandemic, as seen in the sales report of the cooperative. “Ituloy lang ang goal ng cooperative, so that you can also pass the help that DTI and other agencies such as the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) extended on to you to other people”, she said.
SARBMPC received the ownership for successfully operating while achieving the goals and objectives of the SSF project. Aside from the Certificate of Ownership of the SSF, the cooperative also received new packaging materials, including stickers and the design of its processed Ginger Candy. The cooperative will still be monitored and assisted by DTI Rizal to assure continuous improvement.♦
