DTI 6 joined the two (2) batches of convergence activities held in support to the implementation of Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) led by DICT Region 6

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Region 6 joined the two (2) batches of convergence activities held in support to the implementation of Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) led by Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 6. The convergence was conducted in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental.

The first batch of the convergence activity was held on 8-10 April 2022 in Aklan, Iloilo and Negros Occidental and the second batch was on 29 April to 1 May 2022 in Antique/Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental. DTI 6 gathered a total of 170 beneficiaries of Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program, 25 from Aklan, 25 from Antique, 24 from Capiz, 50 from Iloilo and 46 from Negros Occidental. Certificate of awards, vouchers and kits were given during the convergence activities. ISARAP aims to ensure and provide effective, integrated and fiscally responsible aid and humanitarian support to the people in time of emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic, current economic crisis and disasters.

Meanwhile, DTI 6 also joined the Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan of Services held on April 21, 2022 at the Grandstand of Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City. This activity was led by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 6. DTI 6 gathered 20 PPG beneficiaries and distributed certificate of awards for livelihood kits.

The Duterte Legacy Caravan aims to inform the general public about the government’s programs, policies and efforts to bring about real change by showcasing real stories from the beneficiaries of the Duterte administration’s landmark programs. This also aims to deliver basic services of various government agencies during the caravans. All the beneficiaries were gathered through the efforts of all the DTI Provincial Offices in Region 6. DTI 6 Regional Director Rebecca Rascon together with all the Provincial Directors supported the activities and brought hope to all the MSMEs who were the victims of fire and typhoon.  ♦
