The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Region 6 joined the annual Labor Day Jobs and Business Fair at SM City Iloilo on 1 May 2022. The fair was led by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and DTI Region 6 to promote Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan during the holiday. Services offered were business name registration inquiry and consumer welfare desk –where concerns of consumers were entertained. Intellectual Property Office (IPO) was invited to provide services such as copyrights, patents and trademarks and Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.) for financial assistance and loans. Entrepreneurship Seminar was conducted attended by123 participants and Skills Demo on Cloth/Fabric Painting was also offered to30 aspiring artists and entrepreneurs.

Thirteen(13) clients/entrepreneurs were assisted and provided with information on the services offered by DTI. The fair was attended by DTI 6 Regional Director Rebecca Rascon, DTI Iloilo Provincial Director Felisa Judith Degala, BDD OIC-Chief Ruby Melliza, TIDS Honey Mae Osimco, BDD Staff and DTI Iloilo Staff.The 2022 Labor Day Jobsand BusinessFair, with the theme of “Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa,” is in line with the labor department’s overall mandate of promoting gainful employment opportunities. ♦
