ILOILO CITY — The upcoming 14th RDC Private Sector Representatives (PSRs) National Convention, which will take place from April 26 to 28, 2023, is set to promote Go Lokal as a retail brand for innovative and quality products of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as designers from Region 6, and other regions.

The event will be hosted by the Regional Development Council (RDC) VI in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 and the Go Lokal! program at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.

In line with this, the RDC has requested the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) which funded DTI Region 6 to facilitate the Go Lokal! Fair at the Festive Walk Mall in Iloilo City from April 26 to May 1, 2023.

The fair will showcase Go Lokal homegrown products from the six provinces of Region 6, namely Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental, as well as the highly urbanized cities of Bacolod and Iloilo. A total of 26 exhibitors will display their products during the event. The Go Lokal team also invited potential Go Lokal suppliers from the National Capital Region and other regions to promote cross-regional trade.

The objectives of the convention include discovering and inviting emerging suppliers of new products with high market potential, exploring the possibility of establishing a Go Lokal store in Iloilo City, and providing more sales opportunities for Go Lokal MSMEs.

Through this event, the organizers aim to strengthen strategic partnerships with partner national government agencies like National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and DTI Region 6, among others, and to promote cross-regional trade to provide more opportunities for Go Lokal MSMEs.
