The Philippine Coffee Quality Competition 2022 (PCQC 2022) is an annual search for the best Philippine Coffee. With the convergence of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Agricultural Cooperative Development International and Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance (ACDI VOCA), Barista and Coffee Academy of Asia, Inc. (BCAA).

The competition aims for Philippine Coffee to be recognized in the global coffee industry, providing awarenessof the importance of coffee quality, and making the Philippine specialty coffee known in the global market thereby opening more selling and pricing opportunities to Philippine coffee farmers.

This year, 4 Western Visayas Coffee Entries emerged victorious once again, as they retained their FINE ROBUSTA Grade. To be considered Fine Robusta, green coffee shall have zero (0) primary defects and no more than five (5) secondary defects sample.

Hats off to our farmers from Bulalacao Calo-oy Tula-tula Sikap Organization of Sibalom, Antique -ALEJANDRO GONZAGA and ANTONIO ENDENCIO; TEDDY ECHALAR of Sitio Buyu-an Baras Abaca and Coffee Growers Association of Igbaras, Iloilo; and APRIL LIE OBRIQUE of Minoyan Murcia Marginal Coffee Association, Murcia Negros Occidental.April Lie Obrique ranked 7′ place in the finals with a score of 81.25 points, qualifying her in the online auction of the Philippine Coffee Guild wherein samples of her coffee bean entries will be sent to registered bidders. ♦
