Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 strengthens its initiative for investment promotion in the region by conducting a Capability Building for Investment Promotion Program Officers.

In partnership with the Board of Investments (BOI), Investment Promotion Officers of the DTI-10 Regional and Provincial Offices worked on developing their competency on investment facilitation, promotion, and servicing to better assist local government units (LGUs); in understanding the legal framework of the investment promotion; and in assessing investment areas and preparing investment profiles.

Investment Promotion was identified as one of DTI’s key priorities in accelerating economic growth and development. Investment promotion and facilitation skills are essential for government employees to Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and big-ticket projects in order to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and improve infrastructure.

The capacity building ran for two days in the DTI-10 Regional Office Conference Room, Cagayan de Oro City. ♦
