NORTHERN MINDANAO — Rural Agro-Industrial Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID Growth) special project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental signed a Commercial Partnership Agreement (CPA) with 3 MSMEs in Misamis Oriental last April 18, 2023.

The CPA is geared towards enhancing the productivity and quality of output of farmer beneficiaries while guaranteeing a stable market for their products.

DTI-10 recently signed a Matching Grant Agreement to provide direct assistance to 12 coffee farmer organizations and 2 MSMEs in Misamis Oriental.

In relation to this, the agency inked a CPA with Kape Claveria Beverage Manufacturing, Don Narciso Café, and RS Sons & Company Inc. to formalize the RAPID Growth project’s goal of building a commercial partnership between the small coffee farmers and coffee processors in the province.

These MSMEs will guarantee a stable market of the coffee products of the farmer beneficiaries.

RAPID Growth Project is a value chain based development program which seeks to establish strategic partnership among key players of the focused value chain to achieve the goal of increasing income of small farmers and unemployed rural women and men by providing enabling conditions for the sustained growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and establish strong backward linkages with farmers in the coffee, cacao, coconut and processed fruits and nuts sectors. ♦
