Assistant Regional Director Ruben Diciano turns over the helm of DTI-2 to incoming Regional Director Romleah Juliet Pulido-Ocampo

DTI-2 Regional Offices welcomes its new Regional Director in the person of Romleah Juliet Pulido-Ocampo.  Hailing from Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, RD Ocampo is no stranger to Region 2 having spent her early school years there.

In her message during the turn-over ceremony, she said: “ I come to Region 2 filled with positive feelings…happy that I have been given this opportunity to serve the region of my birth…excited and challenged because I know it is going to be a tough job…”

Before her transfer to DTI-2, RD Ocampo was Program Director of DTI’s Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion’s Go Lokal! for almost two years.  Go Lokal is a program initiated by DTI which enables smaller enterprises to access the retail shelves of known establishments without the usual listing fee.  It is a DTI program that supports emerging suppliers and products of quality, unique designs and high market potential.

She also served with the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) for almost 20 years, thus bringing with her an impressive record as a marketer and promoter of the Philippine made products here and abroad.  With this background and a clear vision of what needs to be done, DTI Region 02 looks forward to being able to take advantage of the vast opportunities for our products locally and globally.

Working together with other government agencies, the private sector, local governments and stakeholders, RD Leah hopes that DTI shall continue to play a major role in levelling up Region 2’s economic ranking.♦
