CAGAYAN VALLEY — The Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 (DTI R2) led the celebration of the success of the 12 mentees from Cagayan Valley’s various provinces on their graduation on February 17, 2023 from the DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) Local Advisory and Mentoring Program (LAMP), the first mentoring and advisory session of the entire DTI’s SSF Project focusing on its beneficiaries.

Launched in 2022, the select mentees completed the series of mentoring sessions under SSF-LAMP’s five-module program and presented their operational and improvement plans to the panel of evaluators.

After the mentees’ innovative journey, DTIR2-Isabela Provincial Director, Ma. Sofia Narag, applauded their will and determination to finish the sessions and looked forward to their sustained dedication and eagerness they have shown as they prepare to become mentors.

On the other hand, DTI Assistant Regional Director Winston Singun, in his elated remarks, celebrated the mentees’ endless perseverance and emphasized that mentoring is a continuous journey of growth and development. He also urged the mentees to utilize the learning to strive further in improving their business operations.

A highlight of the event was the virtual presentation of the e-certificates of the mentees. They also shared their experiences and insights and acknowledged the support of their mentors, who assisted them throughout the sessions.

The Chief of the DTI-SME Development Division, Mr. Ramil Garcia, recognized the effort and sacrifices of the mentees for staying true to their strong commitment to hurdling all the sessions.

“May you be the lamp that will serve as a beacon of light to your associations. May your light never falter, and may you continue to be an inspiration to everyone,” said DC Garcia.
