ANTIPOLO CITY — Following the success of the Digital Tuesdays Webinar Series in 2022, the Department of Trade and Industry Rizal Provincial Office in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Rizal and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Antipolo launched Season 2 of “Digital Tuesdays” on February 21, 2023, and was joined by 180 participants on Zoom and Facebook Live.

The webinar, hosted by Negosyo Center Cardona Business Counselor Johanna Faye R. Javier started at 1:30 PM with opening preliminaries followed by messages from DTI Rizal Business Development Division Chief Sharon Dioco, DICT Luzon Cluster 3 Regional Director Cheryl Ortega, DICT Rizal Provincial Head Zendie Cabanlong and PCCI Antipolo Executive Vice President Bryant Kim An.

Kicking off Year 2 of Digital Tuesdays is Ms. MJ Soriano, a Social Media Specialist, DICT Scholar and volunteer for She Loves Data, a non-profit social enterprise that inspires women around the globe to become active contributors to an increasingly data-driven world. Being the introductory speaker for the webinar series, Ms. Soriano gave a lecture divided into three main parts; an overview of Digital Marketing, How Digital Marketing works and Digital Content Creation, all of which should be discussed in detail in the coming weeks. Participants also had an opportunity to raise their questions and other concerns which were all addressed by Ms. Soriano.

Digital Tuesdays is a webinar series jointly organized by DTI Rizal and DICT Rizal in collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Antipolo that aims to encourage Rizal MSMEs to maximize the use of e-commerce as marketing tools and enhance their capabilities not only to keep up but more importantly embrace digitalization. ♦
