SANTA MARIA, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) continues its provision of business advisory services in partnership with other government agencies.

On March 16, 2023, DTI-Laguna through its Negosyo Center in Santa Maria and in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Local Government Unit of Santa Maria conducted a seminar on entrepreneurial mindset and setting up a business with consumer education last March 16, 2023, at the 3rd Floor, Integrated Municipal Building, Brgy. II (Pob.), Santa Maria, Laguna.

A total of 40 beneficiaries of DSWD from Brgy. Bubukal, Brgy. Cambuja and Brgy. Tungkod in Santa Maria participated in the said event. Participants were divided into groups and will be provided with the Livelihood Assistance Grant under the Sustainable Livelihood Program of DSWD. The grant serves as the seed capital fund for their business.

Mr. Nicols Consignado and Mr. Cris Mark Bermudo, Negosyo Center Business Counsellors assigned in Santa Maria and Mabitac, respectively, facilitated the abovementioned seminar, which aims to equip beneficiaries with entrepreneurial awareness, consumer education, and information on how to start a business.
