Negosyo Center Tayabas City Business Counselor Shaira Anne Budoy, Barangay Chairman Arthur Obciana and Elsa Rubio, Deputy Director General of Rotary Club of Cosmopolitan-Lucena, attended the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) Meeting on 03 July 2021. The meeting in Barangay Mateuna was held to tackle the service of initiating government interventions in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce (PCCI).

Budoy and Rubio discussed programs and intentions to assist and develop the existing garments industry in Brgy. Mateuna. Barangay Councilor Marylo Tabi talked about the plans of establishing a cooperative for KALIPI, a federation of women’s organization, for easier integration of programs and mind-setting of the members. Budoy also mentioned the utilization of sewing machines from the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) Project of the Deparmtent of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon located in Brgy. Mateuna. Moreover, she also answered inquiries about the Bayanihan COVID-19 Assistance to Restart Enterprises (CARES) Program from the barangay councilors.

After the discussion, the barangay council of Mateuna expressed their support for the intervention. ♦
