ANTIPOLO, RIZAL — Continuing the goal to make existing and potential entrepreneurs be digitally wise in doing their business marketing online, the Department of Trade and Industry – Rizal in partnership with the Department of Communication and Information Technology – Rizal recently held the second session of its Digital Tuesdays webinar series which tackles the Dos and Don’ts of Digital Marketing with almost 360 Zoom participants, mainly youth, from all over the country.

Mr. Oliver Darvin, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Antipolo graced the program by delivering a welcoming message to the participants. He invited the participants, especially the Antipolo’s registered businesses and even those who plan to have one, to join the Samahan ng mga Negosyo sa Antipolo at its General Membership Meeting on March 9, 2023, at Rizal Provincial Capitol.

Meanwhile, in her message, Ms. Cleotilde Duran, OIC – Provincial Director of DTI Rizal, wished the attendees to invade the digital world to excel in their business and be responsible digital marketers.

Digital marketing specialist and DICT scholar, Mr. Raphael Niño Alcantara served as the resource speaker of the session discussing tips on what to do and what to avoid in doing digital marketing. He stressed the importance of getting the right target market, uniqueness in content creation, product tracking, customer relationship, mobile optimization, and mistakes to avoid in creating a user-friendly website and keeping it updated. Then, Mr. Alcantara also stated the need to take professional help by introducing some DICT programs. Finally, he advised the attendees to be mindful online and be aware of the widespread scams and unsafe links lurking thru text messages and online.

Some questions were raised by the participants about digital tools like ChatGPT and websites, and the use of social media advertisements which were answered well by the speaker.

The Digital Tuesdays webinar series will run until March 2023 and will cover topics on branding business, social media marketing, Canva application, and innovation and technology in trade and industry.
