PAKIL, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna), through its Negosyo Center Pakil, conducted a webinar on Forex Trading for Beginners: What You Need to Know and How Does It Work last 16 February 2023 via the online conferencing platform Zoom. The 2-hour webinar session was attended by eighty-four (84) participants from Pakil and nearby towns. The webinar was discussed by a #BITS graduate and Forex Trader, Mr. Argel Carl Platon.
The webinar was hosted by Negosyo Center Business Counselor Andrea Mae Macuha of Negosyo Center Pakil. It was commenced with an opening prayer led by Macuha followed by an opening remark from the Officer-in-Charge of DTI-Laguna, Mr. Christian Ted Tungohan, who warmly welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude not only to them but also to the invited speaker as well. After such, Macuha continued with the program by giving a brief introduction of the speaker.
Platon, a graduate of the pioneered program of DTI-Laguna #BITS (Boosting Innovation and Technology Start-ups), began his discussion by giving a quick background of his career and how Forex Trading had caught his interest. He then proceeded to his topic by describing how trading is done in the Foreign Exchange industry. He also covered the two (2) types of analysis that traders must combine and manage. Prior to trading, he advised participants to build foundations since it is preferable to have the proper knowledge, mindset, training and execution in order to limit risk in trading. Lastly, he invited everyone to a week-long workshop should they be interested in the world of Foreign Exchange.
The aforementioned webinar received positive comments from the participants, and they expressed their satisfaction to the learning activity. Moreover, they are pleased and are interested to join future free webinars offered by DTI-Laguna. Two more webinars of DTI-Laguna are scheduled for implementation this coming February 2023: How to Get Customers to Love You (Branding and Social Media Marketing) to be hosted by Negosyo Center Siniloan on 22 February 2023 and Seminar on How to Start a Business cum Digitalization through Google My Business on 22 to 23 February 2023 to be hosted by Negosyo Center Kalayaan in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Kalayaan. ♦
