A total of 43 shared service facility cooperators undergo coaching and mentoring during the one-on-one coaching session with the mentors in the four major areas of business at the Pearl Garden Resort, San Jose de Buenavista on May 23, 2019.

A total of 43 SSF (shared service facility) cooperators from the Province of Antique recently had the chance to apprise themselves in the operation of the facility and discuss with mentors their concerns in the areas of production, organization management, financial literacy and marketing.

The mentors were Rex Dagdag, PJ Arañador, Emmerson Junn Lim and Melodie Buendia. Before the session, the mentors lectured the basic ideas on areas of their expertise. During the session, business counselors documented the concerns of cooperators and the recommendations of mentors.

The coaching and mentoring session was conducted in partnership with Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Council (PMSMEDC) – Antique. Aside from the participants and the mentors, the event was also attended by PMSMEDC Antique Co-Chair Engr. Vicente Lagunday, DTI Antique Provincial Director Mercedes Young, DTI VI SSF Regional Focal Person Aurora Teresa Alisen, and DTI VI IDD OIC-Chief Ma. Dinda Tamayo.

Tamayo emphasized to the cooperators the importance of the operations manual as it will serve as their bible as they operationalize their SSFs. Dagdag oriented the SSF cooperators the guidelines in crafting the operations manual.

Last year, there were already five SSF cooperators from the Province of Antique who underwent coaching and mentoring sessions – KASAMMA Malabor, Esparar Multi-purpose Cooperative, LGU Tibiao, Laua-an Multi-purpose Cooperative and Antique National School.♦
