NORTHERN MINDANAO – Twelve fisherfolks and 16 business owners from Tubod, Lanao del Norte were provided with livelihood kits under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte.

PPG is a post-disaster response livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program of DTI which aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic, to recover and/or start their businesses.

The beneficiaries, who were adversely affected by flooding on January 2023, also attended a Consumer Education Seminar that emphasized consumer rights and responsibilities.

The activity concluded with the distribution of livelihood kits, aimed at supporting their recovery and sustainable livelihood development in the aftermath of the flooding. ♦
