Consistent in its pursuit to be a major supplier of minimally processed food and institutionally packed goods, the Padday na Lima Regional Trade Fair (RTF), in its 17th year, held a FREE seminar on Food Allergens Management on 10 August 2023.

The activity was attended by food processors and industry stakeholders to ensure food security and sustainability.

Ms. Jamie Bautista, Food Inspector/Auditor of SGS Philippines, Inc., discussed the importance of knowing the different food allergens and their effects on consumers and business owners. Moreover, Ms. Bautista also underscored the guidelines and best practices for allergen management.

SGS Philippines, Inc. was one of the allies of DTI Region 2, whose partnership was forged in 2016 and paved the way for the Kaagapay Program, the first-ever MSME-focused service of SGS Philippines, Inc.

This seminar was the first of the two free seminars during this RTF. Free training for the food and non-food sectors (Color Trends, Design Forecast, and Marketing in the New Normal) was also conducted on 12 August 2023.
