DTI Laguna team together with Laguna traders who showcased and sell their products to the participants of the Amazing Jeepney Race.

SAN PABLO, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI Laguna) extends its support to the Philippines-New Zealand Business Council (PNZBC) as the latter conducts the Amazing Jeepney Race on July 29, 2023.

PNZBC hosted Amazing Jeepney Race 6 to bring the participants an exciting competition filled with camaraderie as they go through the historic and beautiful Province of Laguna. The previous Amazing Jeepney Race 5 was held last 2017.

New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Ambassador Peter Kell and the New Zealand Team reached 1 city and 3 municipalities in the province during the course of this year’s race: Bay, Victoria, Calauan, and San Pablo City. This event is in collaboration with the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office.

Toward the end, the team headed by Ambassador Kell proceeded to their last stop at Casa San Pablo in San Pablo City to enjoy a prepared sumptuous lunch. DTI Laguna invited ten (10) Laguna traders to showcase and sell their products to the participants of the Amazing Jeepney Race, including Leny Handy Crafts (fashion accessories), Monedo Footwear (upcycled footwear), Rolyo Likha at iba pa Handicrafts (waterlily hyacinth home decors and handicrafts), Yollie’s Food Products (flavored alamang), A&Z Food Products (banana chips and processed fruits and nuts), Lime Tree Farm Solutions (coconut-based and insulin-plant-based health and wellness products), Calle Arco Restaurant (food delicacies and Filipino homestyle dishes), ChocoButiog Food Products (cacao-based products), Ultimate Sams Herbs and Foods (food supplements), and Dalagita Wines and Beverages (flavored wines).

PNZBC is a nonprofit organization established in 1994. It is composed of Filipinos with business interests in New Zealand and New Zealanders who work in the Philippines and/or are doing business in the Philippines. Part of the objectives of PNZBC are to provide a forum for Filipinos and New Zealanders who are interested in pursuing trade and investment between the Philippines and New Zealand; promote business, cultural, and social exchanges between the two countries; and establish an effective consultative and working relationship among businessmen, enterprises, and trade organizations to advise Filipinos who want to do business in New Zealand and New Zealanders who want to do business in the Philippines.
