PILILIA, RIZAL — The Collaborative Harnessing & Mentoring Program for MSMEs (CHAMPS) Rizal Season 4 continued its mission to empower local entrepreneurs with invaluable knowledge during the recent 2nd session on Basic Accounting for MSMEs. This session saw the active participation of 31 aspiring and established entrepreneurs from the province.
The event, hosted by Mr. Jhunix Maroto, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Pililla, commenced at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon and was graced by the presence of Mrs. Sharon F. Dioco, Chief of Business Development Division – DTI Rizal, who delivered the opening remarks. The engaging session featured Dr. Ernie D. Tano, an Accredited Mentor from the Philippine Center of Entrepreneurship, as the expert speaker.
Dr. Tano’s insightful presentation covered fundamental topics vital for business success, including Financial Statements such as the Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Owner’s Equity, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow. Attendees also delved into Financial Assumptions, Projected Financial Statements, and Financial Analysis, gaining a deeper understanding of managing their enterprises’ financial health.
The session encouraged active participation and engagement through a lively Q&A session that followed the expert’s presentation. Entrepreneurs in attendance seized the opportunity to seek clarification, gain deeper insights, and network with fellow CHAMPS beneficiaries.
The 2nd Day of Basic Accounting for MSMEs was another successful installment of CHAMPS Rizal Season 4, reflecting the program’s commitment to equipping local entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge essential for sustainable growth. The event concluded at 4:00 PM, leaving attendees inspired and empowered to apply their newfound accounting expertise to their businesses.
